LEADERSHIP AND TEAM BUILDING

I am currently the Editor-in-chief of the school news publication, The Bird Feed. I worked my way up from features editor to associate editor, to finally my current position of Editor-in-chief through hard work and determination. I have put together presentations for the class from information I have learned at the University of Georgia. I lead the class every day, make sure everyone is on task to publish their articles on time, and help them grow as writers. I have planned events such as ice cream social and class parties so that the staff can get to know each other, have that family-feel, and learn the importance of team-work. I also have led flash stories that everyone worked on. Whenever Ms. Rose has something she wants to tell the class, I am usually the one to pass on the information, whether it be in person or through GroupMe. I have used GroupMe as an instrument to text reminders to the class about important dates.
